Located at 211 NE Revere Avenue in Bend, Oregon, this Blockbuster began its life in 1992 as Pacific Video before converting to a Blockbuster franchise in 2000. Since surviving the wave of store closures, it became the only Blockbuster left in the U.S. in 2018 and the entire world by 2019.
Today, the store still operates much like a time capsule from the early 2000s: you can rent movies from shelves packed with DVDs and VHS, browse aisles of retro memorabilia, and bring home branded souvenirs like T-shirts, hats, and even VHS tapes. It remains family owned, with Ken Tisher holding an annual license to use the Blockbuster name, and sees around 4,000 members who regularly rent movies.
Over the years, the store has also become a beloved tourist destination—a living tribute to the pre-streaming era. It has inspired a local craft beer, a Netflix‑featured documentary (The Last Blockbuster), Airbnb sleepovers, and even a hidden‑camera segment on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Hours: Check their official site or Yelp for current hours—they tend to stay open later, often into the evening.
